HERES A BIT MORE OF MY STORY AND WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
IT ALL STARTED IN THIRD GRADE, WHEN MY PARENTS GOT ME A LITTLE BLUE KODAK CAMERA FOR MY BIRTHDAY.
From there on, I spent my playdates doing photoshoots with my friends. I’d force my little brother into modeling for me. I’d get my guinea pig photo ready in a little dress up cowboy hat. I’d pose my stuffed animals in front of a blanket backdrop. All because I just absolutely loved taking pictures
JUST TWO YEARS LATER, MY ENTIRE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN AS EVERYTHING I KNEW SEEMED TO CHANGE IN AN INSTANT.
...AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY.
In fifth grade, my parents separated, resaid their vows a year later, split again, and then eventually finalized their divorce when I was in high school. It's one of the toughest things I've walked through in my life, but out of that experience I became determined to discover what it’d take to make a marriage great. I wanted to know, “What do I have to do to ensure my marriage can be healthy, joyful, and last a lifetime?”
At a time in my life where I felt like I had the rug pulled out from under me, I needed a solid rock and foundation I knew I could count on. I put my faith in Jesus, and he’s never let me down. In an effort to change the trajectory of my own future marriage, I began to learn as much as I possibly could about God’s design for relationships and it has single handedly changed my life, my marriage, and my family tree.
It's this lifelong love for photography and my passion for healthy relationships that led me to where I am today, documenting the most beautiful and meaningful moments in people's lives while also helping them prepare for marriage. There's something truly magical about being able to experience some of the most pivotal moments in people's lives, help them prepare well, and also get to preserve the story that will be cherished for generations to come.
